Attention !! McHenry County Fair is no longer a DhR show.
Darkhorse Racing thanks all the McHenry County Fair drivers and the McHenry County Fair Association for 4 great years. Darkhorse Racing wishes the McHenry County Fair Association a successful 2012 season. The fair chose to go a different direction this year. This means that the classes you are familiar with, the format of the show that you are familiar with, and most importantly the rules that you are familiar with will be different. We will continue to host derbies at Lake and Kenosha county fairs along with our season finale at Rockford Speedway. Please check the schedule below for show dates, classes, and time line of events. As always, pre-registration earns double points. Thank you all for your continued loyalty.
- Lake County Fair Sunday July 29th, 2012. Auto Soccer, Nostalgia Class, Mini Cars and Fair Class
9:30 am Tech inspection for Auto Soccer closes
10:00 am Driver’s Meeting (mandatory)
Demo Derby - 12:30 noon Pit Gates open for derby car registration
3:30 pm Registration closes (3:31pm, I will lock you out. Our fair requires us to start on time).
3:45 pm Tech inspection closes (you had better be in line for tech or you're not running)
4:00 pm Driver’s Meeting (mandatory)
- Kenosha County Fair August 19th, 2012. NOTE: READ CAREFULLY! THIS FORMAT IS DIFFERENT FROM THE YEARS PAST! THERE ARE NO EVENING HEATS! EVERYTHING RUNS AT 11AM - NO EXCEPTIONS! IF YOU ARE NOT TECHED BY 10:45AM, YOU WON'T RUN - END OF STORY. Nostalgia Class, Mini Cars, Mini U.A.V.s, and Fair Class
10:30 am tech inspection closes (you had better be in line for tech or you're not running)
10:45 am Driver's Meeting (mandatory)
11:00 am – Begin all qualifying rounds of competition (heat races) for all classes
3:00 pm – Last heat race
4:30 pm – Consolation rounds for all cars not qualified for the features (all classes)
6:00 pm – Begin all feature events
- Rockford Speedway - "Painkiller Classic" October 21st, 2012.
2:30pm Tech inspection closes
Derby begins after completion of Goblin 250 enduro race.
9:30 am Tech inspection for Auto Soccer closes
10:00 am Driver’s Meeting
